Recipient: Miami Conservancy District located at 38 E. Monument Avenue, Dayton, OH 45402
Amount Request: $10,000,000
Request Description: The funding would be used to make critical repairs to address the structural instability of three dams that are currently over 100 years old and past their useful life. The project is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds because it will extend the useful life of these high hazard dams for at least another 75 years, thereby reducing the risk of catastrophic flooding.

Project Title: 48 Inch Diameter Raw Water Interconnect between the Miami Well Field and the Ottawa Water Treatment Plant – PHASE 1 project.
Recipient: City of Dayton located at 320 West Monument Avenue, Dayton, OH 45402
Amount Request: $4,000,000
Request Description: The funding would be used to construct a 48” raw water main interconnect between the Miami Well Field and the Ottawa Treatment Plant. The project is a good use of taxpayer funds because it will allow the City to ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s PFAS National Primary Drinking Water Regulation Maximum Contaminant Level.

Project Title: System Integration Laboratory
Recipient: University of Dayton located at 300 College Park, Dayton OH 45469
Amount Request: $4,000,000
Request Description: The funding would be used to establish a System Integration Laboratory to promote US innovation in pursuit of Open Architecture solutions for Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) using a Modular Open System Approach (MOSA). The project is a good use of taxpayer funds because it will increase capacity for testing materials, equipment, and systems that are currently needed to fulfill unmet requirement for open architecture hardware and software for future force requirements.

Request Description: The funding would be used to purchase an Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) system. The project is a good use of taxpayer funds because it will support important research in post-foundry integration of novel materials, spur innovation in lithography, and provide students with invaluable experience that will prepare them for high-demand industry careers, including in the semiconductor region.

Project Title: Ohio Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Infrastructure Planning Project
Recipient: City of Springfield, Ohio located at 76 East High Street, Springfield OH 45502
Amount Request: $3,000,000
Request Description: The funding would be used for identification, planning, and design efforts to integrate AAM technology at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport. The project is a good use of taxpayer funds because it will build on existing infrastructure initiatives by supporting a comprehensive plan addressing infrastructure, policy, technology, and workforce development needs to successfully integrate AAM into the National Airspace System, which will in turn expand air transportation capabilities and safety.
