Press Release

Today top House Republican Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) was hosted by Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) to tour the tornado damage in the Miami Valley. McCarthy and Turner were briefed by Greene County and Beavercreek officials before touring commercial and residential damage throughout Beavercreek.

"I was grateful for the time Rep. Mike Turner and the Miami Valley officials spent to brief us on the damage assessment and tour of the affected areas,” said McCarthy. “The work accomplished by the first responders has just been incredible and the perseverance of the local community has been inspiring. Although the recovery will take some time, we will continue to work at the federal level, with the help of Mike's strong representation, to secure the resources needed to rebuild and recover."

“The damage in our community from these tornadoes is extensive,” said Turner. “I want to thank Kevin for coming to Ohio to see the devastation firsthand. We will be working together on the federal level along with state and local officials to rebuild our community. I want to again thank the first responders and media who saved countless lives through their work.”
