Congressman Turner released the following statement after speaking with Vice President-elect Mike Pence during his meeting with House Republicans at the Capitol this morning:

"This morning, I relayed my top priority to Vice President-elect Pence and it is a simple one: repeal sequestration. President-elect Donald Trump campaigned on rebuilding our military and ending sequestration. We must begin this process of rebuilding our military and restoring readiness back into our force immediately. I asked the Vice President-elect to work with Congress to repeal sequestration as a top priority of the next administration."
