Congressman Turner, Chairman of the House Armed Services Tactical Air and Land Subcommittee, released the following statement after the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act for FY17.
“I am proud of the work we have started with the National Defense Authorization Act which will begin the process of rebuilding our military and restoring readiness back into the force. This bill stops the harmful end-strength reductions in our military services and begins the process of reversing this damaging trend in reducing our military capacity.
“I look forward to working with the new Administration as we use this NDAA as a starting point to rebuild our military to face evolving threats head on.”
