Turner's statement on the passing of Secretary Madeleine Albright

WASHINGTON - Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) issued the following statement upon learning of the passing of former U.S. State Department Secretary Madeleine Albright:

"Secretary Madeleine Albright was a trailblazer and fierce defender of democracy globally. At a young age, she was familiar with the evils of this world as she and her family fled Europe during the Nazi invasion. This foundation gave her an unshakable gratitude for freedom. Her wisdom and earnest spirit will be greatly missed. Thank you, Madam Secretary, for your service to this country."
