TURNER Secures Major Funding for OH-10
Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement after voting in support of the two appropriations packages today:
“I have strongly advocated for major funding wins for our community reflected in these bills. First and foremost, today’s bills appropriate the remaining $120.9 million of the $182 million expansion project at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base that we won authorization of last week. Furthermore, this bill reauthorizes the National Aviation Heritage Area to continue to preserve the legacy of the Wright Brothers and aviation in Dayton, Ohio. Finally, due to my advocacy for Central State University to be put on an equal funding level as other 1890 land grant institutions, CSU will be able to access millions of additional dollars for scholarships and research. I will continue to fight for funding for our community and its institutions.”
