On July 26, the House of Representatives approved H.R. 1456, legislation I introduced earlier this year congratulating the University of Dayton's Men's Basketball team for winning the 2010 National Invitational Tournament (NIT). The bill passed unanimously, on a bipartisan basis, with the support of the entire Ohio delegation. .

The Boy Scouts instill in our youngest citizens values such as honesty, courage and resourcefulness, and emphasize the importance of doing "a good turn daily" for others. Each local Boy Scout Council obligates every Scout to perform 12 hours of community service annually. Last year, nearly three million Boy Scouts, and over one million adult leaders volunteered 36,653,936 hours of community service individually and through partnerships with organizations including the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity. .

"I commend the Polish Government for signing the additional protocol to enable Poland to host the Phased Adaptive Approach Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) interceptors to protect our deployed troops, defend European allies and augment the protection of the U.S. homeland by 2020. I hope that the Polish parliament will ratify the BMD Agreement with this additional protocol soon," .

On June 23rd, 2010 the House Majority Leader said the House could not pass a budget until the bipartisan Commission on Deficit Reduction makes its recommendations – at the end of the year, after Election Day. Then a week later, he said the Majority will not draft a budget; they will "deem" it passed so they can begin to approve unfunded spending bills. .

For nearly seven months this year, Congress has failed to produce a budget. Each day, red ink continues to flow from Congress, further damaging the American economy.
