Dayton, Ohio-Following the first Dayton Water Panel virtual meeting of 2021, Congressman Mike Turner, Chair of the Dayton Water Panel Tom Raga, Commissioner Debbie Lieberman, representatives from LimnoTech, and other members of the panel, held a virtual press conference to discuss the panel's goals and timeline for the water study.

LimnoTech, the independent consulting firm that will conduct the study, briefed the panel on the plan and allowed for questions and feedback from panelists in order to ensure that the study will be consistent with the needs of the Dayton community.

Today Congressman Mike Turner released the following statement on the confirmation of General (Ret.) Lloyd Austin as Secretary of Defense:

Today Congressman Michael Turner announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded over $360,000 in federal grants to the Five Rivers Health Centers and Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton. Five Rivers Health Centers will receive $180,360 and the Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton will receive $184,920. The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplement Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), which Congressman Turner supported, funded the health cluster program that provided these grants.

Congressman Mike Turner's (OH-10) Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities Act has been included in the Omnibus spending bill that passed the House of Representatives earlier this evening. This housing legislation provides federal housing assistance for youths aging out of foster care.

Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) cosponsored H.R. 2328, The Community Health Investment, Modernization, and Excellence Act of 2019, which has been included in the Omnibus Package that passed the House of Representatives earlier today. This legislation aims to end surprise medical billing by shielding patients from excessive costs given by out of network healthcare services. Meanwhile, it allows for fair negotiation of outstanding costs between insurers and medical providers through an independent dispute resolution process.
