WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced $44 million in 2024 Community Project Funding priorities he secured for the Miami Valley region passed the House of Representatives.

"Today I secured over $44 million in federal funding for critical projects in our community," said Congressman Mike Turner. "This funding bolsters our economy, strengthens our infrastructure, and increases the Miami Valley's competitiveness throughout our state. I will continue to work closely with my colleagues to make certain that the critical community projects that are important to Ohio families, workers, and small businesses are funded."

DAYTON, OHIO - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), along with U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), held a press conference at his district office in Dayton to highlight their efforts to restore pension payments that the Delphi salaried retirees should have received after they were wrongfully terminated in 2009 via the General Motors government bailout by the Auto Task Force.

DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that $2,900,000 in federal funds has been awarded to the James M. Cox Dayton International Airport (DAY) to upgrade its passenger boarding bridges in Concourse B. Dayton International Airport, which is in Turner's district, was allocated funds under the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Fiscal Year 2024 Airport Terminals grant program.

DAYTON, OHIO – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), along with U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Congressman Warren Davidson (OH-08), called on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee to continue hosting the "First Four" games of the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament at the University of Dayton and to expand to the first and second rounds in 2027 and 2028. The lawmakers expressed their strong support of the university's application to bring the excitement of the first and second rounds back to the University of Dayton Arena (UD Arena).

"I am saddened to learn of the passing of Mayor Warren Copeland, who was a dedicated public servant to the City of Springfield.

"Mayor Copeland was a pillar of our community, demonstrating true leadership and an unwavering faith throughout his nearly 30 years as Mayor of Springfield.

"He always looked for ways to serve the people of Springfield, as was evident in the passion he showed for teaching when he was a professor at Wittenberg University.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) cosponsored the bipartisan Death Tax Repeal Act, legislation that would permanently repeal the estate tax and generation-skipping transfer taxes. The Death Tax Repeal Act was introduced by Congressman Randy Feenstra (IA-04) and has been cosponsored by 162 members of the House of Representatives.

WILBERFORCE, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that Central State University (CSU) will be receiving over $11.2 million from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Employee Retention Credit (ERC) funds. As a result of Congressman Turner's advocacy with the IRS, CSU will receive three installments of ERC refund checks from the IRS – $3,347,610.90 for the first quarter of 2021, $3,954,128.73 for the second quarter of 2021, and $3,966,382.39 for the third quarter of 2021. CSU is one of two historically black colleges and universities located in the State of Ohio, along with Wilberforce University.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), along with Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01), introduced the Veterans Affairs Centennial and Heritage Act, bipartisan legislation that would codify the establishment of a National VA History Center (NVAHC) for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) introduced the companion legislation in the Senate. Currently, the establishment of the NVAHC exists only pursuant to Department Memoranda, this legislation codifies the center through an Act of Congress.
