The House Appropriations Committee's version of the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies funding legislation includes $2 million in congressional Community Project Funding for the Dayton Children's Foundation's Behavioral Health Crisis Center. Once that bill becomes law, the funds will be used by the hospital to construct a new facility aimed at increasing mental health services for young children in need of care.

DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that $480,000 in federal funds has been awarded to the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) to improve safety and help prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. The House Appropriations Committee's version of the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies funding legislation includes $1.4 million in congressional Community Project Funding for the BGCD's West Dayton Community Recreation & Space Sharing Project. Once that bill becomes law, the funds will be used by the BGCD to remodel its West Stewart Street facility, including necessary equipment upgrades.
