DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that over $2,500,000 in federal funds have been awarded to Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) to serve children from low-income families receiving child care subsidies. MVCDC, which serves over 2,500 families across Turner's district, was allocated funds under the U.S. Department of Heath and Human Services' (HHS) Fiscal Year 2023 Early Head Start–Child Care Partnerships (EHS-CCP) grant program.

DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) held a press conference at Dayton Children's Hospital with Deborah Feldman, President & CEO of Dayton Children's. The House Appropriations Committee's version of the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies funding legislation includes $2 million in congressional Community Project Funding for the Dayton Children's Foundation's Behavioral Health Crisis Center. Once that bill becomes law, the funds will be used by the hospital to construct a new facility aimed at increasing mental health services for young children in need of care.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) introduced the Protecting Against Paperless and Electronic Requirements (PAPER) Act. This legislation prohibits banks from forcing customers to use electronic bank statements instead of paper statements.

DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that $480,000 in federal funds has been awarded to the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) to improve safety and help prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. The MVRPC, which is in Turner's district, was allocated funds under the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Fiscal Year 2023 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program.

The House Appropriations Committee's version of the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies funding legislation includes $1.4 million in congressional Community Project Funding for the BGCD's West Dayton Community Recreation & Space Sharing Project. Once that bill becomes law, the funds will be used by the BGCD to remodel its West Stewart Street facility, including necessary equipment upgrades.
