U.S. Representative Mike Turner today announced the House of Representatives approved H.R. 3548, the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2009. H.R. 3548 overwhelmingly passed the House by a 403 to 12 vote. The bill now goes to the President for his signature. .

Since my first term in Congress, I have been privileged to serve on two of the most important committees in the House of Representatives. In addition to my work on the House Armed Services Committee, I am a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
