Congressman Turner discussed health care, his constitutional amendment to prohibit the federal government from owning stock in corporations, and also his amendment protecting child custody rights of deployed troops.

Turner today called for a comprehensive review of the Priority Development Advocacy Committee (PDAC) process to increase the accountability and transparency of the current process. The Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) uses the PDAC process to establish the region's federal funding priorities which are submitted to Congress annually.

The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2010, H.R. 3082, provides funding for three military construction projects at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Last week, in a strong bipartisan vote of 410 to 8, the U.S. House passed a resolution requiring the Architect of the Capitol to engrave the National Motto "In God We Trust" and the Pledge of Allegiance in the new U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. This action is necessary to ensure that all of our nation's traditions are adequately reflected in throughout the Capitol.
