Dayton, OH - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10), announced that the 2022 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is officially open.

 

The challenge runs until November 1, 2022 and is open to all middle and high school students from Ohio's 10th congressional district.

This bipartisan legislation, which the lawmakers chose to introduce during PTSD Awareness Month, aims to help police, fire, emergency services and 911 personnel cope with the unique and immense stress they face on the job.

Dayton, OH - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) participated in the grand opening of McBride Place, the newest affordable housing community open to veterans and civilians on Dayton's VA Campus. In 2021, Turner secured $456,500 in federal grant funding for the St. Mary Development Corporation and helped the project developer navigate federal deadlines and requirements for the project.
 
"In 2018, I began actively working with the St. Mary Development Corporation to assist with the completion of the McBride Place," said Turner.

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Mike Turner, on May 20, 2022, graduated from Georgetown University with a Doctorate in Liberal Studies. The focus of Turner's research is urban economic development.

Turner, the former two-term Mayor of Dayton Ohio, enrolled in the part-time program to continue his work and research on improving the economic performance and sustainability of urban core cities. His Doctoral thesis, entitled: "Urban Fail," reviews the historical evolution of federal urban development policy and how current policies inhibit capitalistic development outcomes in American urban core cities.

Washington, DC – Congressmen Mike Turner (R-OH), Vice-Chair of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Parliamentary Assembly, and Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Chairman of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, called upon senior officials at the Department of State and Defense, and top members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to expeditiously approve Finland and Sweden's application to join NATO.
In the letter, the members wrote:
"The Russian Federation's unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine, an independent, peaceful, and democratic country, demonstrates the need for effective deterrence.
