"First and foremost, the bill increases topline defense spending by nearly $25 billion-reversing the harmful and reckless cuts from the President's Budget, ensuring an annual growth of 5 percent over the previous year, and funding the DoD's most critical unfunded priorities." said Turner.

WPAFB is home to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), which is the Department of Defense's primary source for foreign air and space threats. "Early this morning in the Armed Services Committee, I voted to increase President Biden's inadequate defense budget that would have left our military without the support they need to keep our Nation safe.
