Yesterday, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) announced it is working to infuse third party investment into the installation's programmatic interest through an Enhanced Use Lease (EUL). Since October 2019, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) has been working with WPAFB, the Dayton Development Coalition, and Air Force leadership to permit the use of an EUL to make it possible for developers to lease unused land at Wright-Patt and build property on it for commercial use.

After 11 years of fighting for their pensions, the Delphi Salaried Retirees are given hope by President Donald J. Trump. Today, President Trump signed a presidential memorandum directing his cabinet to come back within 90 days with recommendations that provide a remedy to restore the Delphi Salaried Retirees' pensions. This remedy will have a 180 day implementation period. Remedies may include legislative or administrative options.

Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) has signed a discharge petition to encourage the House of Representatives to vote for the PPP Extension Act. When House Majority Leadership refuses to advance a bill to the floor, a majority of House Members can sign a discharge petition to force the bill to the floor for a vote.

Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) led 15 Members of Congress in urging President Trump to direct the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) to restore the pensions of Delphi Salaried Retirees to the greatest extent possible. Specifically, the letter calls on President Trump to direct his Cabinet Members sitting on the PBGC Board of Directors, under 29 U.S. Code §?1347, to arrive at a settlement agreement to restore the salaried retirees' pensions by conducting transparent negotiations in good faith.

Yesterday, Peter Navarro, Assistant to President Trump, told Dayton Daily News regarding the pensions of the Delphi Salaried Retirees that "This has the President's attention, and we're moving. We're looking at it. It's a high priority. I will personally try to move this at least in terms of the legal review as quickly as we can." Additionally, Navarro told WFMJ, "We believe very strongly that Joe Biden and Barack Obama did a tremendous disservice to the Delphi salaried employees.

On Monday aboard Air Force One, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine asked President Donald J. Trump to intervene on behalf of Delphi Salaried Retirees in the fight for their pensions. Turner has previously discussed this issue with the President, as well as his top advisors.

Today, Congressman Mike Turner (R-OH-10) joined Congressman Anthony Brown (D-MD-4) in introducing the Diversity in Defense Act. This legislation amends U.S. Code to include more diversity-related requirements in the Armed Forces and Coast Guard. In addition to the introduction of this standalone bill, Turner partnered with Brown to have these bipartisan measures included in the House-passed version of the FY 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
