Congressman Turner released the following statement after introducing the bipartisan CRIB Act which would help cover the treatment costs of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), a withdrawal condition in newborns often caused by opioids and other addictive substances in pregnant women.
This is a companion bill to the CRIB Act Senator Sherrod Brown recently introduced in the Senate.

Congressman Turner released the following statement regarding his recent vote to prohibit unaccompanied alien children from being housed at military bases:
"Security throughout the City of Dayton and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is critically important. It is irresponsible and dangerous to allow unaccompanied illegal alien children to be housed at our military installations. This is an issue of safety and security for our service members, our community, and the children themselves. Additionally, the base is not equipped for such a mission especially, while our military is struggling to meet our national security demands."
