DAYTON, OHIO – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement on the passing of former Congressman Dave Hobson, whose district included Springfield, Ohio:

"Dave Hobson was a man of immense character and integrity. I saw firsthand how much Dave loved Ohio and the Miami Valley during our time together in the House of Representatives. Dave served in the Ohio Air National Guard and cared deeply about our service members and the safety and security of our country. He approached every challenge with tenacity and grace and was a friend to all who knew him. My prayers are with Carolyn and the rest of the Hobson family."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) led letters to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, and Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona seeking emergency funding for Springfield, Ohio. An estimated 15,000 to 20,000 Haitian migrants have settled in Springfield in recent years. With a population of approximately 60,000 people, the influx of Haitian nationals migrating to Springfield has put a significant strain on the city's resources, including housing, law enforcement, hospitals, and schools.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) and Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced a nearly $2 million investment in the University of Dayton to provide state-of-the-art training and equipment for students studying the emerging semiconductor industry as well as promote advanced manufacturing. Congressman Turner and Senator Brown advocated for funding this project in the government funding package.
