Congressman Mike Turner (OH-3) released the following statement upon learning the results of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ and National Cemetery Administration’s investigation of the Dayton National Cemetery:

“It is shameful that any veteran’s final resting place be disturbed. Our men and women in uniform who have honorably served our nation deserve the utmost respect in both life and death. I am glad that the Department of Veterans Affairs and National Cemetery Administration has undertaken an effort to ensure that the graves of our veterans are properly marked and accounted for. This is a matter that has been the subject of hearings both on the House Armed Services Committee where I serve, and the House Veterans Affairs Committee. I look forward to investigating this matter further with cemetery officials.”
