Congressman Mike Turner, Co-Chair of the Military Sexual Assault Prevention Caucus, questioned Air Force leaders Gen. Mark A Welsh III, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and Gen. Edward A. Rice, Jr., Commander of the Air Education and Training Command, at a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the sexual misconduct by basic training instructors at Lackland Air Force Base. Prior to today’s hearing, Turner had received briefings from Gen. Rice on the allegations and investigation at the Texas base.
