European oil and gas: Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) will introduce a resolution today concluding that “it is in the national interest of the United States to support and enhance Europe’s energy security by working with the Governments of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia and its partners to make available additional gas and oil supplies to that market in a cost effective and secure manner.” Turner, the chairman of the U.S. delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, has lined up co-sponsors including Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster and Reps.
