Congressman Mike Turner released a statement after reports suggest the Army would plan to cut 40,000 troops over the next two years:
“I have fought to end sequestration from the beginning and to see these cuts made at such a pivotal time for our national security is troubling. This year, I led a group of 70 members of Congress to end the devastating effects of sequestration to ensure our national defense is adequately funded. The protection of our national defense and the security of the American people must come first.”
