Congressman Turner released the following video message to honor and remember those we lost on September 11, 2001.

“We all remember where we were the fateful morning of September 11, 2001. We were heading into work, getting the kids off to school or watching the news. On that day, I served as Mayor of Dayton and worked with our first responders as the morning unfolded.

“As Americans, this day will always remain reverent and forever in our minds as we remember the lives lost and those men and women who risked their lives for others. As a country, we lost so much and together we work each day to ensure that the legacy of those we lost lives on.

“Today, we face increasing global threats and continue to fight to protect our country from those extremists who look to extinguish our freedoms. I hope you will take a moment today and join me in remembering the brave Americans we lost that day and thank the men and women in uniform who have fought for our freedom each and everyday.  Thank you and God Bless the United States of America.”
