Chairman Mike Turner (OH-10) of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces joins House Armed Services Republicans in a press conference supporting the Bipartisan Budget Act.
Chairman Mike Turner (OH-10) of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces released the following statement after voting in support of the Bipartisan Budget Act:
“Today’s passage of the Bipartisan Budget Act is a win for our men and women in uniform, including those at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,” said Turner. “I have fought for increased funding for our troops since the devastating defense sequester was enacted under President Obama. This long-term bipartisan budget deal provides the money and certainty our armed forces need to move forward and address growing global threats.”
“Congressman Turner has been a tireless advocate for increased defense spending after the harmful cuts imposed by sequestration,” said House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry (TX-13). “His vote today supporting the long-term budget deal we’ve been working towards all year will help our military rebuild and regain readiness.”
