Chairman Mike Turner (OH-10) of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces released the following statement after being appointed as a member of the House delegation to negotiate the differences between the House and Senate versions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):
“I look forward to joining my colleagues on both sides of the aisle from both chambers of Congress to craft the final version of this year’s defense bill. I’ll be working to maintain the House’s $182 million for an expansion project at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the final version of the bill, expedite hiring at Wright-Patt, and help the Air Force Research Laboratory partner with small businesses. Additionally, I’ll work to include final language to combat sexual assault in the military, curb the opioid epidemic, make military housing safer for families, and support the needs of our tactical air and land forces.”
