Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement on the Special Counsel’s report into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election:

“According to the report, the Special Counsel’s ‘investigation did not identify evidence that any U.S. persons conspired or coordinated with’ Russians interfering in the 2016 election. As the House Intelligence Committee found more than a year ago, there was no conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. I remain deeply concerned by the efforts undertaken in 2016 by Russians to interfere in our election. I look forward to working with the House Intelligence Committee to prevent future interference in our democratic processes. I hope the Committee returns to its important work regarding national security instead of wasting precious time and resources on the Chairman’s personal vendetta against the President.”

Congressman Turner has continuously called for the public release of the Special Counsel’s report. The House Intelligence Committee Republicans voted last year to make all of its investigation testimony public. Those documents are currently going through a de-classification process.
