“When I voted to support the CARES Act, it was to provide immediate and much needed assistance to our community,” said Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10).

This week, Montgomery County announced it has launched a new $10 million grant program to assist homeowners and renters impacted by coronavirus. This program is made possible by the over $90 million provided to the County through the CARES Act, which Turner strongly supported.

“Throughout this pandemic, people have lost their jobs, had to close their businesses, and are struggling to buy food,” said Turner. “I am glad to see that $10 million of that funding is going towards assisting homeowners and renters who are behind on their payments. I will continue to work with county and local officials to assess their needs as Congress debates further pandemic assistance.”
