Today Congressman Michael Turner announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded over $360,000 in federal grants to the Five Rivers Health Centers and Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton. Five Rivers Health Centers will receive $180,360 and the Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton will receive $184,920. The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplement Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), which Congressman Turner supported, funded the health cluster program that provided these grants.
“I appreciate the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarding these critical grants to Dayton area health centers, which have incurred increased costs during their response to the needs of our community in the coronavirus pandemic,” said Turner. “Five Rivers Health Centers and Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton provide quality care to Dayton area families and these grants will help ensure that frontline workers have the support and resources they need.”
These grants are in addition to over $1.7 million in coronavirus relief grants that were made possible by Congressman Mike Turner’s support of the CARES Act.
