SPRINGFIELD, OHIO — Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement on the passing of Warren Copeland, former Mayor of Springfield:
“I am saddened to learn of the passing of Mayor Warren Copeland, who was a dedicated public servant to the City of Springfield.
“Mayor Copeland was a pillar of our community, demonstrating true leadership and an unwavering faith throughout his nearly 30 years as Mayor of Springfield.
“He always looked for ways to serve the people of Springfield, as was evident in the passion he showed for teaching when he was a professor at Wittenberg University.
“I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Warren’s family, and I encourage everyone in our community to keep the Copelands in your prayers.”
