WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) has been honored with the National Federation of Independent Business's (NFIB) “Guardian of Small Business Award,” their highest legislative recognition. This prestigious award is given to lawmakers who have consistently supported small businesses, as demonstrated by voting in alignment with key small business priorities at least 70 percent of the time during the 118th Congress. Congressman Turner has voted in favor of small businesses 100 percent of the time.

Small businesses are the cornerstone of the Miami Valley,” said Congressman Turner. During my time as Mayor of Dayton, I had the opportunity to work with local businesses, and in Congress, I’ve remained committed to supporting small businesses through tax relief, regulatory reform, and further investment in infrastructure. I will continue to champion the causes that matter most to our Dayton-area businesses.”

Background:

Throughout the 118th Congress, Turner has supported a number of bills to support small businesses and their employees, including the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which would make permanent the tax deduction for qualified business income. As a supporter of small businesses, Congressman Turner is a cosponsor of this bill.

Throughout his tenure Congressman Turner has supported Miami Valley small businesses by securing funding for community projects, including $4 million for the Wright Factory Business Park and $1 million for the Greater West Dayton Incubator. These projects provide vital resources to help strengthen both local entrepreneurs and business communities.
