Last week, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb ruled our 59-year-old practice of holding a National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. In her ruling, Judge Crabb agreed with the Madison, WI-based group The Freedom from Religion Foundation, which filed a lawsuit in federal court arguing that designating such a day violates the separation of church and state.

But clearly, the Pentagon, the White House and our U.S. intelligence agencies must develop strategies to address nuclear proliferation by rogue actors when diplomacy and sanctions fail. We must address how the United States might contain Iran's power if it decided to produce a weapon, and how to deal with the possibility that fuel or weapons could be obtained by one of the terrorist groups Iran has supported. .
Weekend news reports reveal that the United States does not have a reliable plan to contain Iran's nuclear capability.

A complete and accurate Census is important to all Americans for several reasons. Census data not only influences the funding of many federal programs; it also determines the apportionment of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and the number of votes for each state in the Electoral College during presidential elections. An accurate count is especially important to states like Ohio, which lost a congressional seat after the 2000 Census, and could possibly lose two more seats in Congress. .
