WASHINGTON, DC - Last night, the House voted on the FY2022 funding bill. This legislation includes over $35 million for projects in the greater Dayton community, which was secured by Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10). He made the following statement following its passage:

"This is a massive win for Ohio. These funds will create job growth in the community, support Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), and improve our health care facilities. Specifically, it will bring needed funds to the Salem Mall in Trotwood for renovations, to the child care center at WPAFB, and the Cassano Health Care Center."

WASHINGTON - Last week, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) and his colleagues Marc Veasey (TX-33), John Larsen (CT-01) and Chris Stewart (UT-02) sent a letter to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz requesting he reconsider the F-35 Lightning II as a replacement for the Tornado fighter fleet. This morning, German officials announced they will purchase 35 U.S. F-35 fighter jets to replace its ageing Tornado aircraft. Congressman Turner released the following statement in response:

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) joined fellow Colleagues in introducing a bipartisan, bicameral piece of legislation that would help restore retirement benefits to over 20,000 Delphi Salaried Retirees.

Rep. Mike Turner (OH-10), the lead Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, released the following statement on Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine:

"Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine is an act of war that warrants a swift and crippling response from the United States and its allies. I stand with the people of Ukraine and continue to support providing arms and intelligence to the Ukrainian people so they can defend themselves. The Nord Stream 2 project must end now and forever. The US must also implement sanctions on Russian financial institutions and impose crippling penalties to hamstring the Russian economy," said Turner.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) recently joined Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), Rep. David Trone (D-MD) and Rep. Paul Tonko (D-NY) to introduce The Due Process Continuity of Care Act. This bipartisan legislation would amend the current Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Policy (MIEP) to make certain that pretrial detainees are not kicked off Medicaid prior to ever being found guilty of a crime. DAYTON, OH – Following today's announcement that the Dayton International Airport has been selected as the future home of two aircraft facilities built by the Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), Congressman Turner released the following statement:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court declining to take up the case of the Delphi retirees which Turner requested last October:

"I am deeply frustrated that once again, the Delphi Salaried Retirees are being denied an opportunity to restore their hard-earned retirement benefits. However, this decision will not stop me from pursuing legislative remedies and urging the Biden Administration to get them the answers and treatment they deserve," said Congressman Mike Turner.

WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, Members of the House Intelligence committee who are participating in a normal committee event were requested to obtain a negative COVID test by Chairman Schiff. Today, Ranking Member Mike Turner (R-OH) sent a letter opposing Chairman Schiff's request and released the following statement:

"Americans who are caregivers for elderly loved ones worry about exposing their family members to COVID and do not have available testing options to protect them. The Biden Administration has failed to live up to its promises to ensure COVID testing is widely available to the public and did not prepare to respond to a surge due to variants like Omicron," said Turner.
