- Bureau of Engraving and Printing: 14th and C Streets, S.W. See how U.S. currency is printed. From August 31-May 5, tours begin every 10 minutes starting at 9:00 am and end at 1:50 p.m. on weekdays. Tickets are free and can be obtained from the ticket booth located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street). Please note that tickets usually are gone by 8:30. During the summer from May 6th through August 30, there are evening tours offered every ten minutes from 5:00p.m. to 6:45p.m. The ticket boot reopens at 3:30 p.m. to disburse free tickets. - Federal Bureau of Investigation: Tours of the FBI have been indefinitely suspended. The FBI is located on E street, between 9th and 10th Streets, NW. Nearest Metro stop: Federal Triangle.
- John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts: Tours offered Monday-Saturday at 9:30am, 9:45am and 4:30pm. Tours last approximately one and half hours and conclude at the Millennium Stage. - Library of Congress: Tours offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:30am. During the busy summer months, a 2:00pm tour is also offered. Tours last approximately one hour. Nearest Metro stop: Capitol South. For more information on the Library of Congress, please see http://www.loc.gov/
- Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens: Tours offered everyday at 8:45am. This 45-minute walking tour of the grounds of the estate is led by one of Mount Vernon's historic interpreters and concludes with a memorable wreath-laying ceremony at Washington's Tomb. Following the tour, guests are invited to walk through the Mansion on their own. An admission fee of $8 for adults and $4 for children does apply. - National Archives: Tours offered Monday-Saturday at 10:15am and 1:15pm. Tours last approximately one and a half hours. Tour entrance is on Constitution Avenue, between 7th and 9th Streets, NW. - Old Executive Office Building: Tours offered on Saturday mornings. Your tour of this beautiful building will serve as a looking glass to America's rich architectural and historical past and will last approximately one hour. Nearest Metro stop: Federal Triangle.
- United States Capitol Building: Public tours of the Capitol have been indefinitely suspended. Tours are offered on a limited basis, and all persons are subject to a security screening. This in-depth tour of the Capitol is led by a member of the Capitol Historical Society. Tours last approximately one hour. Each Congressional office may only request 2 tours per week. - United States Marine Corps Evening Parade: Friday evenings from May 7 - August 27 at 8:00pm. This special event is located at the Marine Barracks at 8th and I Streets, SE. Parking is extremely limited. Nearest Metro stop: Eastern Market. For more information, please call (202) 225-7125 x. 11.
- United States Supreme Court: Monday-Friday at 2:00pm when the Court is not hearing oral arguments. Tours last approximately 40 minutes and consist of a lecture in the Courtroom, followed by a tour of the building. Nearest Metro stop: Capitol South or Union Station. - Voice of America: Get a behind-the-scenes look at Voice of America, an international broadcasting agency funded by the U.S. Government with a worldwide audience of 123 million people every week. Tours are available Mon-Fri, except federal holidays, at 12pm and 3pm. Reservations are recommended. Private group tours can also be requested. - Washington National Cathedral: Monday and Wednesday at 9:15am. This place of inspiration and beauty was built with attention to craftsmanship and artistic detail in stained glass, needlework, wrought iron, sculpture and stone.
