Congressman Turner released the following statement following the death of astronaut and former Ohio Senator John Glenn:
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John Glenn. During my tenure as Dayton’s mayor, I was lucky enough to work with him while he served in the Senate. John Glenn was an American treasure and a champion for Ohio. Our state and nation has lost a part of its history today with his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this trying time.”
