Washington, D.C. – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement after learning of the assassination of former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.
"The assassination of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is devastating and shocking. Prime Minister Abe was a strong and effective leader for the people of Japan and a fierce ally of the U.S. I send my deepest condolences to his family and the people of Japan as they mourn the loss of a great leader."
