Congressman Mike Turner’s (OH-10) Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities Act has been included in the Omnibus spending bill that passed the House of Representatives earlier this evening. This housing legislation provides federal housing assistance for youths aging out of foster care.
“We cannot allow our foster children to age out of the system into federally created homelessness,” said Turner. “For years I have championed this legislation and I am thrilled it is being passed into law. The adoption of this legislation into the omnibus spending bill means that our federal government will help provide a straightforward approach to ending the cycle of homelessness among foster care youths.”
