"With its increasing military capabilities and growing defense community, Dayton is the perfect location to host this forum," said Rep Turner. "The purpose of the Ohio Defense and Aerospace Forum is to bring defense leaders from all sectors together to grow Ohio's role in our national defense. With Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, and countless small businesses and research opportunities, hosting the defense forum is Dayton's next step to becoming a premier defense hub. As Representative of Dayton, I look forward to next year's forum and what we can accomplish in the future."
"When Congressman Turner approached the DDC in 2016 about creating a forum focused on Ohio’s role in national defense, our goal was to establish a more collaborative, statewide approach to advocating for our defense installations. Since then, Gov. DeWine appointed a cabinet-level official to protect and grow Ohio’s defense installations and JobsOhio has stood up a Military Federal sector to support defense installations across the state in the same way the DDC has worked with Wright-Patt over the years. We want Ohio to become the best state for our nation’s military and veterans," said Jeff Hoagland, President and CEO of Dayton Development Coalition.
