Last week, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base advanced to the evaluation phase of the process to hosting the US Space Command. Wright-Patt’s advancement comes as a result of Congressman Mike Turner’s (OH-10) advocacy in Congress to increase the base’s growth and funding.

“This advancement of Wright-Patt in the selection process of US Space Command is an important step forward that I have advocated strongly for,” said Turner. “As the home of invention of flight and a pioneer in space travel and defense, Wright-Patt has the foundation to host the US Space Command. I am eager to see the results of the evaluation phase and will continue to advocate for Wright-Patt in my continued conversations with Gen. Raymond.”
