WASHINGTON DC - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that his office is available to help constituents place a memorial flag at the National Mall through the art exhibit, In America: Remember, in honor of individuals who have lost the battle to COVID-19.

“Sadly, over 21,000 Ohioans have lost their fight to the COVID-19 Virus as of yesterday. These Ohioans are not just a statistic; they were parents, friends, and valued community members whose deaths are still being mourned,” said Rep Turner. “While there is nothing that can be done to ease the pain of losing a loved one to this horrendous disease, we can continue to honor their memory. By dedicating a flag on the National Mall, we pause to reflect on their lives and I hope this can serve as a reminder for our community to remain vigilant as we combat this pandemic,” concluded Turner.

In America: Remember is a collaborative public art exhibit that has covered the National Mall with over 660,000 white flags in honor of the Americans who have died from COVID-19. This exhibit will run from September 17, 2021, to October 3, 2021.

To have a flag placed in honor of a loved one lost from COVID, please contact Rep. Turner’s DC office at 202-225-6465 or fill out the form on their website: https://www.inamericaflags.org/.
