Today Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, under questioning by House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces Ranking Member Mike Turner (OH-10), testified to the House Armed Services Committee that he had “not received a briefing that included the word ‘bounty,’” and that if there was “a credible, corroborated report that used those words, certainly it would have been brought to [his] attention by the chain of command...for action.”
