"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV on his appointment to serve as the 267th Bishop of Rome – the first American pope in history.

"Born in Chicago and shaped by years of missionary work serving the poorest among us in Peru, Pope Leo XIV brings a deep commitment to service and humility to the papacy.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement regarding the current framework of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's budget reconciliation proposal:

"The goal of reconciliation should be to reduce overall government spending by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse and reducing needless and unnecessary spending.

"I oppose any and all efforts to reduce federal spending by taking money from the hard-earned pensions of federal workers. These pensions are not giveaways – they are promises to federal workers in exchange for their dedicated service.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that "Think Freedom," a comprehensive public art project based in Sarajevo, will be placed at The Arcade in downtown Dayton during the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session in May. The upcoming installation in Dayton will mark the first time "Think Freedom" has visited the United States.
