Request Description: The funding would be used for planning and design of a multi-story laboratory and research facility to accommodate requirements of the Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate. The project is an appropriate use for federal funds because advanced materials research is critical to the mission of the United States military and because it will help ensure that the Department of the Air Force can maintain cutting edge research supporting development of next generation weapons systems without falling behind our military adversaries in these fields.

The project is an appropriate use for federal funds because it will assist in enhancing the human component of warfighting capabilities, including training, bioeffects, and bioengineering.

Request Description: The funding would be used for necessary equipment purchases to manage and analyze the complex datasets generated by modern lunar missions. The project is an appropriate use of federal funds because it will expand human knowledge of space, preserve U.S. leadership in aerospace science and technology, and promote effective utilization of U.S. scientific and engineering resources.

Request Description: The funding would be used to install controlled environment systems to support a Class 100 Clean Room, lab space, and mechanical space. The project is an appropriate use for federal funds because it will enhance educational opportunities, promote advanced manufacturing, and expand research and experiential learning in a way that will accelerate the domestic development and production of microelectronics.

Proposed Recipient: Clark County Board of Commissioners, Ohio, located at 3130 East Main Street Springfield, OH 45503
Proposed Amount Request: $3,000,000
Request Description: The funding would be used for planning and architectural services for a new public safety complex to replace a critically outdated and undersized existing jail that is in violation of multiple Ohio Bureau of Adult Detention standards. The project is an appropriate use of federal funds because it will protect lives, ensure humane treatment, and restore integrity to Clark County's justice system.
